Evaluation of the implementation of the national action plan against trafficking in human beings (2014-2016)

A national action plan against trafficking in human beings (THB) was adopted by the Council of Ministers on 14 May 2014, laying the foundations for a coherent public policy – involving cross-government action – with ambitious objectives: provide victims with better protection and demonstrate determination in prosecuting traffickers in human beings.

The CNCDH, as the independent national rapporteur on the fight against trafficking in human beings, began work in early 2017 to evaluate the implementation of this national action plan against THB. This document aims to:

  • to evaluate, measure by measure, the implementation of the national action plan against trafficking in human beings
  • make recommendations to the public authorities to ensure effective implementation of the measures. These recommendations are a basis which the Government will be able to refer during the elaboration of the next national action plan.
